Instagram Update Gives the App A Facelift, New Filter, and More
The popular iPhone application, Instagram
, has been updated today to version 3.2.0 with a revamped interface that looks much better than before. The new interface also promises to deliver greater speed to the user, so there will be less waiting for your camera interface to load and less waiting to process the images you take using Instagram.
The new camera interface and new filter interface are illustrated below with a brand new black appearance that is much cleaner and easier to follow. All of the buttons have been polished up to look better and the interface is now much easier on the eyes. The camera interface gives you the basic grid toggle for photograph composition, a flash toggle, a front and rear-facing camera switcher, and shortcut to your camera roll beside the actual camera button. The shutter is also themed to look different than before.
Apart from the new interface, the update also adds the new “Willow” filter to the filter choices, and is shown to you in the screenshot above. It has been created to give your photographs more of a monochrome appearance that includes “subtle purple tones and a translucent glowing white border,” according to the Instagram blog.
The update also promises a better and more accurate tilt shift blur, a better news feed, a new welcome screen, infinite scroll on user profiles, a new Instagram album created in your Camera Roll to store filtered photographs, and a Foursquare button to help you find information about location pages.
Existing users will find the update under the Updates tab in the App Store. Alternatively, you can download the updated Instagram for free from this link
