iPhone 5 Shipping Times Improving to 2-3 Weeks
Despite recent claims
, from Foxconn chairman Terry Gou, saying that it’s hard to keep up supply with Apple’s growing iPhone 5 demands due to the stricter quality control measures being taken, supply appears to be catching up with demand after all. Slowly, but surely.
Apple’s iPhone 5 has been showing the same three-to-four week shipping period since the first day of launch due to the initial supply constraints. Today, these numbers have improved – iPhone 5 shipping times now display two-to-three
weeks on Apple's Web site.
Granted, two-to-three weeks is still a rather long wait to be without a phone as you wait for it to ship, the improvement shows that the situation is getting better in the far-away world of iPhone 5 productionland. Some people ordering iPhone 5 units from the carriers themselves are even having better luck getting their devices on a more timely fashion than from Apple's Web site.
If you haven’t ordered your iPhone 5 yet because you’ve been waiting for the long shipping times to pass over, then the good news is you shouldn’t have to wait much longer before things become normal.
