  • Apple Eats Humble Pie in U.K. Newspaper

Apple was forced to run what amounted to an ego-bruising advertisement in The Guardian on Friday.

Apple was compelled to take out the print ad shortly after it was walloped for the “non-compliant” apology to Samsung that Apple issued on its website. The newspaper ad, on the other hand, closely follows the directives required by the UK court of appeal.

In the 24 hours following the judgement that was passed by the UK court and its three judges – Lord Justice Longmore, Lord Justice Kitchin and Sir Robin Jacob — Apple has removed the original apology from its website, making way for it to be placed on the front page of Apple.com, something it was required to do within 48 hours.
The simple ad pictured above was published by Apple to say that Samsung's Galaxy tablets do not represent an infringement of Apple's patents. The ad ran in 14-pt Arial font, which Apple was obligated to do per the original court ruling.

The text of this ad is expected to appear on Apple's website, although it is yet to appear as of this writing.

And the purpose of that was to discourage you from repeating that action. Did it dawn on you that the judge might have considered the grounds of the suit frivolous and this was his equivalent to what you stated?

If Steve were still at the helm that would have never happened. 2 years ago I was saying the next 'new product' was a laptop/tablet hybrid. Bingo - Microsoft beat Apple to the market on that one. Tragic.

What makes Apple #1 is a combo of 3 things:
      1)Innovation
      2)Coolest looking
      3)1st to the market

Without those 3 always together Apple will eventually go the way it did in the mid 90's. Before Steve came back.
You do realize this tablet/laptop exist back in the 90's, tablet was first introduced by Bill Gates.
LG Prada came out with capacitive touch screen phone first.
Steve is a salesman know how to make something popular to own.
Unfortunately the company is going for the "bottom line", how much will this make Apple.
