Launch Day Supply of Fourth-Gen iPad Sold Out
New orders for all models of the revamped full-size 9.7-inch iPad are now being advertised to ship in one week. A statement which holds true for all capacities ranging from 16 GB to 32 GB, in both black and white colors. If you happened to be one of the first to pre-order a fourth-generation iPad, you’ll still receive your units on launch day this Friday but those of you who waited too long to make the pre-order, are stuck checking Apple’s retail stores instead.
The Cupertino California company ended up surprising many last week when it announced a new fourth-generation iPad with a faster A6X processor and the new, smaller Lightning connector. The new model will be replacing the third-generation iPad which went on sale in March and originally introduced the Retina display to Apple’s tablet. The latest iteration of the iPad will also be adding a FaceTime HD camera in the front and provides compatibility with Apple’s Smart Cover accessory. Last but not least, the fourth-gen iPad will follow the same pricing scheme as its predecessors.
Are any of you who bought a fourth-gen iPad stuck with a shipping date later than that of the launch day?
