Following a similar decision to last year, Tim Cook has sent Apple employees a letter today thanking them for their great work in the 2012 year. In return, he is giving Apple employees the whole Thanksgiving week off to spend with their families and friends with pay. Cook highlights that Apple will be shutting down for the November 19th, 20th, and 21st dates. The whole letter below:

Unfortunately, the days off do not include Apple's retail store employees, as Cook explains that the stores must remain open to "serve our customers" during the Thanksgiving week. In an attempt to make it fair for everyone, Apple retail store employees can check with their managers at a later date to take the extra three days off.
It was undoubtedly a great year for Apple – reaching record-breaking sales and stock values, but it should be exciting to see what the company can drum up for next year’s product lineup.
