Scale is a new jailbreak tweak which is currently being developed by developer, designer, and former ModMyi writer, Joshua Tucker and iOS developer Evan Coleman. The tweak allows users to easily share what they are listening to via the stock Music app as well as giving users the option to add now playing tracks to a playlist or copy the track’s details to the pasteboard. The features were surprisingly ones that were not made available in the stock iOS app and provide a convenience that many had been seeking previously.
With the tweak, users will be able to easily share their now playing tracks via Twitter, Mail, Messages, and more. This added with the ability to add now playing tracks to a playlist or copy the track’s details to the pasteboard sums up to be quite useful for many. The tweak utilizes iOS 6’s new sharing pane, which is one of the reasons why you’ll need a jailbroken iPhone using iOS 5.0 or higher. As of right now, Scale will only be available on the iPhone.
Although it isn’t yet available on the iPad, a version that supports the tablet is currently being worked on. The tweak is also one that will be available for free once it is released on Cydia (which it hasn’t been just yet but should be in the near future). The tweak is seemingly a good grab for most as it adds feature that iOS currently lacks and comes at the ever-so-convenient price of nothing.
