Apple Asking European Resellers to Increase iPad Display Space, Hinting at iPad Mini
A new MacRumors report claims Apple has informed a number of premium Apple resellers to alter their iPad dedicated display space by September 12 which matches up with the rumored release/announcement of the iPhone 5 and iPad mini.
MacRumors sources claim Apple has asked numerous authorized European Apple resellers to dedicate more floor space and display space to Apple’s “tablet line” alluding that the rumored iPad Mini might arrive soon.
One of MacRumors sources cited the oft-rumored September 12 Apple special event date as the deadline the Apple resellers must meet. While Apple’s special event is still unconfirmed, and the exact products Apple will announce are still unknown many resellers are adjusting their display space to accommodate something significant. Many resellers have removed Mac Pro and iMac models from their stores, and others have as much as tripled the space dedicated to the iPad.
Expect Apple to announce a special event within the next couple weeks, and as usual the invitation will likely include some cryptic hint at what the company is planning to announce.
