
If you are a PC gamer and in many cases, even if you aren’t, I’m sure you’ve heard of Valve. A new version of the company’s flagship series and one of the most popular PC gaming titles ever – Counter-Strike – has arrived on the Mac OS X via Steam. Counter-Strike: Global Offensive is the fourth title in the CS series, which to date has sold more than 27 million units.
Valve’s release of CS:GO for the Mac along with the previously released Portal 2 for the Mac shows that the company has been pushing towards reaching Mac users. Although the Mac platform isn’t particularly known for gaming as many games don’t even support it, it’s nice to see that developers are pushing for multi-platform releases slowly opening up more games to the Mac OS X. The best part about it all is the fact that the Mac version has very reasonable system requirements with CS:GO looking for an Intel Core 2 Duo Processor with 2GHz or better, 2GB of RAM, and an ATI Radeon HD 2400 or better or a NVIDIA 8600M or better.
