  • iPad Jailbroken

That didn't take long. Not at all. In fact, I've had my iPad in hand less than 24 hours.

Using Spirit, comex's jailbreak solution, MuscleNerd has already gained root access to the iPad. An hour ago, MuscleNerd tweeted the above video and said:

Logging into the iPad...jailbreak style! YouTube - Logging into the iPad...jailbreak style courtesy "Spirit" jailbreak by @comex
A public, nicely packaged, Cydia including, easy-to-use solution obviously isn't here yet, and there's still a definite possibility any release will be delayed until at least the 3G iPad hits stores, or 3.2 hits the iPhone, purely as a strategic move in the jailbreakers/Apple cat-and-mouse game that may or may not exist.

Be assured though - it is happening.

Well that was fun Now the cross-team effort with @chronicdevteam, @comex, @chpwn and others to get *everything* working

"I was just wondering what do I need to connect to my iPhone so that I can use wifi on my iPad? Do I have connect the iPad and iPhone to a laptop to using tethering?"

I thought all the ipads had wifi connectivity?

The iPad does have wifi.... MyWi makes your iPhone a WiFi hotspot...... That way you can just connect to your iPhone from your iPad wireless

I love my iPad. For the soul purpose of internet surfing alone. I love how i can just kick back on my couch and surf the web with no need to get up to sit at my comp just to check a web page. Its a luxury item for us lazy people.

Thats great news. I think Apple suck so the sooner it is jailbroken the better.
The iPad I'm not interested in as a netbook can do a lot more for a lot cheaper price.

I really think its funny the amount of people that are trying there best to hate on apple and anything they release.

its the same thing since the first iphone was released. I have been on these forums since the first unlock and jailbreak and its always been the samething...

new iphone comes out and the haters troll in...

Do you really seem to forget that this is a business company we are talking about here?

What makes you think that they would release everything in one shot ?

After all they are here to make money you know. and making money is a game they know very well at this point.

I think that the ipad really needs to be seen for something that is bringing all the things we love about the net and the age of digital media into one easy to use portal that sits in our laps.

as much as I hear all the bad Things about it.. I still bought it the moment that i could and I have to say that i have been happy with it since the first moment I used it.

As far as the jailbreak goes that just tells me that i will be having even more Fun with my purchase in the coming months.

As Both a hobby and as learning and adding new features to the ipad.

just a shame that Some people are just so... negative these days that no matter what it is that comes out and alot of people get .. they will just hate on it..

be it a laptop... notebook....iphone...droid....ipad and the list will go on and on for a long time to come.

and to everyone saying that its nothing more then a big ipod... so what?

its not like the ipod touch was something crappy.... along with the iphone it reinvented the way that we used our cell phones.. and I think that the ipad will do the same to the way we spend out time on the internet and so on.

Are you that stupid? It's news on the front page. If it was only in the iPad forum I would never have replied.

I have a stupid iPhone. Not happy with it but cant afford to replace it so I'm happy jailbreaking it and running hacked apps.
So hate apple, hate iPhone, hate iPad, and you still post on a iPhone forum?

Funny thingnis that this wasn't meant to replace laptops...It's meant to be an in between device...and really , net books are for females that wanna download their music and bs...real men get laptops!.....
