We’re teaming up with iOS developer Moeseth to give away five licenses each of two of Moeseth’s most popular jailbreak tweaks for Twitter – TwitkaFly, a $1.99 value, and Infinite Tweet, a 99¢ value. That's a total of ten jailbreak tweak licenses. Both tweaks enhance the user’s ability to interact with Twitter and the people they follow. They also come with a ton of options for the user to configure so that you get the best experience possible by making the tweaks function the way you want them to.
TwitkaFly – $1.99
TwitkaFly is a tweak that gives you the ability to compose Tweets and reply to your followers that mention you on the fly. It is used with Activator, a free application by Ryan Petrich, so you can invoke an Activator action to bring up the TwitkaFly interface to send your Tweet off to Twitter. TwitkaFly includes a quick-composition button in the bottom left of Notification Center – tapping on this icon will pull up the same interface that invoking your chosen Activator action will bring up. The interface allows you to attach photographs from your Camera Roll or select certain people to mention. Apart from that, you are typing your message in the available text field and tapping the Tweet button to Tweet it.
From the preferences pane included with TwitkaFly, you will need to link your Twitter account with the application so it knows what account to post Tweets to. It includes Facebook functionality; a separate plugin package is available on Cydia so you can post on Facebook as well as Twitter. You will also need to link TwitkaFly to your Facebook account only if you want to use TwitkaFly to post on Facebook. You will be able to choose the Twitter application you want to use Twitkafly with since it is compatible with the following four Twitter clients: the stock Twitter application, Tweetbot, Tweetings, and Echofon.
Apart from the sign-in services, you can customize some options of TwitkaFly's functionality as well. You can:
- Choose your Activator actions
- Choose to hide or show the Notification Center button
- Choose between a variety of notification icons
- Enable or disable auto-correct
- Show a music button for sharing what you are currently playing
- Choose a sound that will play when you send a Tweet
- Choose how to exit the TwitkaFly interface
- Whitelist or blacklist Twitter users
Infinite Tweet – 99¢
Infinite Tweet is another jailbreak tweak by Moeseth attempting to enhance usability of Twitter on iOS. It allows you to Tweet longer than 140 characters on your favorite Twitter client for iOS by automatically expanding your Tweets with expander services such as Twitlonger and it comes with a t.co auto-expander and translator for when you are reading other people's links and an Instagram viewer so you can see people's Instagram photographs easily from your Twitter feed. The tweak works with the stock Twitter application, Tweetbot, and Echofon. In addition to being able to Tweet longer, the tweak also includes the ability to share the music you are listening to on your iOS device in your Tweets.
Both tweaks are great personal tools for Twitter and work on iOS 5 on the iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad.
