If you like getting back to the basics and keeping things clean and simple without using screen swipes, motion, or button gestures to perform boot actions, then a new free jailbreak tweak called MultiBoot by iOS developer Theo is available in Cydia today. MultiBoot gives you booting options right from your home screen with an elegant application icon and an elegant, easy-to-use interface.
MultiBoot adds an application icon to the home screen that blends in with all your other applications, which when tapped, will prompt the user for a boot option of their choice. The prompt allows the user to select Safe Mode, Respring, Power Off, or Reboot as a power option, but the user can also tap on the Cancel button to exit the prompt interface if they accidentally tap on the application icon. The prompt is shown below:

Perhaps what makes this tweak stand out is its lightweight simplicity. It isn’t weighed down by ads or unnecessary features that make it feel so complicated that you won’t want to use it. In fact, it's so lightweight that it actually feels robust.
Other applications like Activator can do everything MultiBoot does already, but the tweak goes to show that things can be done in different ways besides the classic ways. It is simply the difference of opinion in whether you want to use gestures or tap on an application icon. Apple would never have you shaking your device or swiping across certain areas of the screen to power off or reboot. This tweak uses a more practical user interface in allowing the user to have quick boot options on their iOS device without using hardware buttons.
MultiBoot has no options to configure.
