Rumor: New iPad Arrives in China July 27
For months we've been hearing that Apple's third generation iPad is coming "any day now" in China. Having long been approved by regulators and cleared for takeoff by Chinese authorities, it hasn't been clear what - if anything - is still delaying the new iPad's launch inside of the world's largest mobile community.
But regardless of the wait's culprit (and it may have been Apple's trademark battle with Proview, which was finally just settled), it looks like a final date has been set for the new iPad's release - July 27th.
For the initial roll-out, the new iPad will be available for purchase at the six official Apple stores that are operated inside of China. Additionally, Suning electronics - a gargantuan consumer electronics retailer in China - will also carry the iPad.
It has been widely speculated that the 4G model of the new iPad will not launch in China. The reason is said to be a combination of the lack of infrastructure to support the 4G tablet in China and the international skirmishes that have resulted from Apple's use of the 4G moniker elsewhere.
