Although Google Chrome for iOS is a great and popular Web browser for Apple's mobile platform even after its initial release being just last week, it is still missing some important Web browser features that we would expect from any Web browser. One important feature Google Chrome for iOS was missing has been added with a new free jailbreak tweak dubbed EasyRefresh for Chrome by iOS developers Moeseth and satropuk.
It’s no surprise that anyone could refresh a page in Google Chrome for iOS by opening the Google Chrome menu and selecting refresh, but who wants to waste their time opening up menus for simple commands that should be located right on the primary user interface of the Web browser? EasyRefresh for Chrome puts the refresh button where it should be – in the URL bar similarly to the way Mobile Safari displays its own refresh button.
The refresh button that is added to the URL bar of the Web browser is easy to tap and performs the same function as the button from inside the Google Chrome menu. The one advantage? – it’s much easier to get to than before! It also looks great.
EasyRefresh for Chrome does not have any options to configure. While EasyRefresh for Chome does a good job of implementing a feature into Google Chrome for iOS the way it had intended to, iOS developer Ori Kadosh recently released a free jailbreak tweak for Google Chrome for iOS called Chromizer – this tweak adds a pull-to-refresh feature as well as many other gestures. Both tweaks are compatible with each other and make Google Chrome for iOS a better Web experience. Whether you will prefer the refresh button or pulling down to refresh will be left for your judgement, but it's even cooler to install both!
