Make Google Chrome A Better iOS Browser With 'Chromizer'
Google Chrome was launched last week for the iOS platform and it has become a hit. Jailbreak developers are working hard to make Google Chrome even better too! With releases like ‘BrowserChooser’ and ‘ChromeCustomize,’ Google Chrome has become a powerful asset to iOS users. Today, we’re showing you another free jailbreak tweak with the goal of making Google Chrome even better called Chromizer
by iOS developer Ori Kadosh
Chromizer adds four powerful new features to Google Chrome for iOS. First, you can pull down to refresh a page instead of having to go into the Google Chrome menu and tapping on the refresh button, which is ultimately more steps and pulling to refresh feels more iOS-like. Additionally, you can tap on the screen with 3 fingers to toggle full-screen mode from any Web site. This will hide the URL bar and status bar to help utilize all of your screen’s pixels. Moreover, you can swipe side-to-side with two fingers to move forward and back through Web pages – while using the button might make more sense, if you're in full screen you won't see the button, so these features go hand-in-hand with each other.
The last major feature, one that we’ve already seen in ChromeCustomize, is one where you can enable the iPhone tabbing animation on the iPad. The iPhone animation is much more detailed than the iPad version. If you’re not sure what we mean by iPhone tabbing animation, the image below represents the animation that occurs when you swipe side-to-side with one finger:
Chromizer is a great asset for any Google Chrome owner since the tweak, as well as the Web browser, is completely free. It is certainly worth giving a try if you like using Google Chrome as it will give you some more fluid features that could be more fun to you than tapping on buttons. Chromizer has no options to configure – just install it and have fun using the great features.
