The brightness slider is strangely hidden away in the iOS Settings application, but a volume slider is always easily accessible from the multitasking App Switcher. It never made that much sense, but now iPad owners can easily change their screen brightness from their lock screen with a handy brightness slider. It is a free jailbreak tweak dubbed LSiPadBright by iOS developer ravirajm.
The brightness slider is conveniently placed right in the clock dash, on the left side. As expected, sliding left will decrease the brightness and sliding right will increase the brightness. The slider looks similar to most other sliders in iOS.
The slider is always visible – there is no way to toggle its visibility on and off, which for some, could be a nuisance since the slider doesn’t quite look right in its location. The lock screen is glass-like and transparent, while the slider takes that of an opaque-type style smack on top of the glassy interface.
For iPad owners trying to get their brightness just right at their time of need, the tweak would be worth the investment of $0.00 if they can get over the slightly unattractive interface. Even though it looks a tad silly, it is a fully functional brightness slider.
