  • iPad 2 Leaked By Amazon.de?

Definitely take this one with quite a few grains of salt, but there's a small chance that Amazon.de may have accidentally leaked the iPad 2 specs a bit early.

According to the alleged screenshots, the iPad 2 will feature a 1.2 GHz Processor, Thunderbolt, and a camera. This comes on top of features of the original iPad, including wi-fi and 3G models and bluetooth None of these come as a great surprise, but we would be surprised if this is the real deal. The listing also mentions that the iPad will be available March 17.

The link has that was sent to CultOfMac, who first posted the story, did not work once they got their hands on it, and searching Amazon.de doesn't reveal a thing, so this could all be a big fake. But it is some fun speculation on the eve of Apple's event.

All our questions will be answered in due time. We're just a few short hours away!

i'm confused as to why you needed to bring Cook's sexual orientation into this conversation at all. some people find that just as offensive as using g.a.y synonymously with "stupid" or whatever other negative connotation. it's just unnecessary, that's all.

tbolt? why? less than 5% of the ipad 2 owners will make use of it. tbolt will be exclusive to apple for awhile and i doubt other companies will adopt it. tbolt is good for enterprise/business use but not for everyday consumer because it will not be put in full potential. usb3.0 will continue to push because its backward compatibility and can be used as a power source.

No way. The iPad's processer might not be able even handle thunderbolt quick enough. Why not USB 2.0 or 3.0 or even Firewire?

I think its possible. They like their products to play nice and use each others features.

I think it would be ideal, massively decrease sync times..

However fast thunderbolt rate it could handle, it would still most probably be faster than USB 3, A4 processors are pretty ****-hot..

You can see this is fake with the obvious mistake of leaving the grey line above the iPad listing that has been copied up.... School boy error!

....on another note can't wait today's the day!!!

well maybe when people transfer lots of HD movies. i'm sure Thunderbolt would make a significant difference.

I looked at the Amazon.de site and searched for iPad 2 and it came up with a case. The same kind of cases we have been seeing purportedly for the iPad 2nd generation. Take that for what it's worth though.

Why has no one noticed the price yet? A 3G model would cost 599.
