Big things are on the horizon at Apple. That much is clear from the comments and non-specific revelations this week from Apple design boss Jonathan Ive. Ive was interviewed at length by the U.K. Telegraph, and his comments have left people buzzing.
According to Ive, major developments are in the works at Apple. In fact, Ive refers to ongoing work there as
"the most important and the best work" that Apple has done so far.
The freshly knighted Ive indicated that his legacy at Apple may be defined by products he is currently working on with his team to design and not the products already available. When asked about his best work to date, Ive said:
"It’s a really tough one. A lot does seem to come back to the fact that what we’re working on now feels like the most important and the best work we’ve done, and so it would be what we’re working on right now, which of course I can’t tell you about."
“We try to develop products that seem somehow inevitable," Ive said. "That leave you with the sense that that’s the only possible solution that makes sense,” he said. “Our products are tools and we don’t want design to get in the way. We’re trying to bring simplicity and clarity, we’re trying to order the products."
