Apple Sends Out Invites to March 2nd iPad 2 Unveiling
Following Tuesday's unconfirmed reports
of a possible March 2nd Apple media event, on Wednesday Apple began sending out invites to the event scheduled for 10:00 am at Apple's beloved stomping grounds of the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts in San Francisco, California. As clearly indicated by the graphic art emblazoned on the invitation, the March 2nd event will yield our first official look at the second generation iPad.
Now just days away from the big reveal, the blogosphere is buzzing with rampant speculation about new features inbound to the refreshed Apple tablet. The most obvious and widely anticipated updates include a front-facing camera for FaceTime video chats, a slimmer body, and an improved display. Of course, just because we're going to get our first look at the iPad 2 next week doesn't mean we'll be able to get our hands on it just as quickly. Rumors of potential production setbacks - while denied by some - remain persistent. Regardless, Apple will all but certainly let us know what timetables we're looking at as of March 2nd.
