Reports from earlier this morning suggested that production delays could prevent the iPad 2 from reaching the market until June. While there is no confirmation at this time regarding when the second generation Apple tablet will be released, the Wall Street Journal's All Things Digital is reporting that Apple will unveil its iPad 2 at a media event that now appears tentatively scheduled for Wednesday, March 2nd, in San Francisco, California.
Apple will hold its much-anticipated event on March 2, where the tech giant seems poised to unveil a new version of its hugely successful iPad, according to multiple sources.
Kara Swisher of All Things D says a venue for the rumored March 2nd event hasn't yet been revealed. But the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts, where Apple is quite fond of holding media events, will likely be the place. There is also no word as of this writing as to whether Apple CEO Steve Jobs, currently on medical leave from the company he helped found, will lead the presentation.
