Apple Suppliers Prepping New MacBooks for Next Month
June, per tradition, has been a great month for Apple fans.
In recent years, however, bestselling Apple products like the iPad and iPhone have had their releases closer to the beginnings and ends of a year. But the "middle" of a year may not be overlooked much longer - at least not if today's report in Digitimes holds true.
"As Apple reportedly will announce its new MacBook series notebooks in June," the report reads, "the company's upstream suppliers will start raising their shipments to Apple significantly in the month with volumes expected to reach a peak in July, according to sources from the upstream supply chain."
According to Apple watchers and general industry analysts, Apple might see year-over-year growth in the range of 50% in MacBook shipments. The scuttlebutt around California this week is that Apple will formally unveil the new MacBook during the keynote of WWDC next month.
