  • Apple's Online Store Customer Satisfaction Score Second Only to Amazon in Annual Survey

Apple’s online store rated considerably higher than other computer-related companies’ online offerings in a recent consumer satisfaction survey by Michigan customer analytic specialists ForeSee.

ForeSee measured customer satisfaction using a survey administered to nearly 21,000 visitors of the top 100 online sales sites ranked by annual revenue. Apple score of 85 was up five points from the year before besting Dell (80), Hewlett-Packard (79), Sony (78), and Microsoft (78). Last year Apple only beat Dell and HP by a single point.

Amazon.com remained ahead of Apple with a record score of 89 and the online store for everyone’s favorite shopping network, QVC, managed to tie Apple’s score of 85. Apple did beat out other non-manufacturing e-retailers TigerDirect (79), Best Buy (80), Newegg (82), and PC Connection (74).

ForeSee will let you download the full report granted you provide them with your name, company, phone number, and email address.

While the difference in percentage points might not seem huge, Apple’s ability to jump five points year-over-year, while everyone else stayed is worth noting. Also, it’s worth mentioning the App Store and Mac App Store are far from perfect, namely their “return” policies or rather lack thereof.

If you read the Article or the Title it clearly states best "Customer Service". Not which site has the best search function.

I can always find what I'm looking for on Amazon. What were you looking for that you couldn't find?

This isn't related to the Apple store, but the customer service at Apple is second to non. Yesterday I sent an email to Tim Cook regarding my 4S and the horrible battery life. Today, the offices of Tim Cook called me apologizing for my issues and wanting to know what we could do to correct the issue. Im really surprised they even contacted me.
