Here are the best jailbreak creations for the week of April 30th until today, May 6th as per the opinion of our staff. This is a weekly recap.
1. SwipeSelection - FREE

SwipeSelection is a new free jailbreak tweak by iOS developer Kyle Howells. The tweak makes text editing from iOS (especially the iPad) much less cumbersome by allowing for keyboard-based mutitouch gestures instead of having to tap and pan across the large screen. The tweak is fully compatible with the iPhone and iPod touch as well as the iPad. The tweak allows you to move the cursor around at various speeds (one finger for slow and two fingers for fast) to help with accuracy of cursor placement and even the ability to select text much faster than you could with iOS’ stock text editing functions. A recent update for this tweak fixes a couple small bugs including one that might cause special characters not to appear as they should.
2. AlwaysArrange - FREE

AlwaysArrange is a cool new jailbreak tweak by iOS developer Rudolf Lichtner. AlwaysArrange gives you the ability to arrange home screen application icons without having to enter jiggle mode to do so. In doing this, you just hold down on an application icon and drag around as usual without having to hold down for a few seconds and then hold down again to drag an icon. Since AlwaysArrange disables jiggle mode, you cannot delete applications the usual way. AlwaysArrange comes with a fail-safe for this by allowing you to drag an icon to the Status Bar to enter the true jiggle mode.
3. Characount for Notes - FREE

Characount for Notes is a new free jailbreak tweak by iOS developer snakeninny. Characount for Notes basically puts a character counter in the Notes application right beside the timestamp indicator, which tells you when the note was created. The character counter is set within parentheses to keep is distinguishable from the date. The counter is for each note individually and doesn’t count all notes as one grand total. This tweak is cool because most text editors these days carry some kind of counting tool – be it for characters, words, or pages.
4. SpotDict - FREE

SpotDict is a new free jailbreak tweak by iOS developer Ron Melkhior that brings the built-in iOS dictionary closer to your fingertips. It integrates the built-in iOS dictionary right into SpotLight so you can type a word into the textbox and simply tap on the new dictionary button to define the word. This tweak is more convenient to use than a dictionary application because any dictionary applications from the App Store would take up space from your storage and probably still wouldn’t be as fast as the built-in iOS dictionary. This is a great tweak to have for people going through school.
