The always competent folks at Best Buy may have prematurely leaked an interesting solar powered Logitech iPad accessory.
The leak appears to confirm rumors that Logitech has been working on a solar-powered new iPad case. The leaked case showed up as a listing Best Buy’s website and has since been removed.
The listing looked incredibly real according to Mashable and outlined an iPad case that comes with a built-in, solar-powered keyboard. The keyboard charges in “direct light, and features 121 keys including dedicated Internet and media keys. Sadly the case does not appear to charge the iPad at all. Still, the rechargeable solar battery is a nice addition considering similar Bluetooth keyboard accessories and cases are known for their short battery lives.
The case weighs in at 15.9 ounces and will set buyers back $129.99. This is assuming the listing was real, and will return when Logitech makes a more formal announcement for the product.
