Instagram Updated to Version 2.4.0
Instagram updated their $1 billion app to version 2.4.0 today, featuring bug fixes, speed improvements, UI tweaks, and improved accessibility support.
While everything appears minor, it is nice to know that the gold-plated offices, marble floors, and diamond windows havenít gone to the Instagram teamís head. Still, the app does appear snappier navigating through menus, especially when entering and exiting the camera function.
Still, someone needs to develop an Instagram tweak that makes the app the default camera app of the iPhone. Using Activator to remap the Instagram launch to the volume buttons is a nice workaround, but it still doesnít launch right into Instagramís camera function.
*Note if there is such a tweak, please direct me toward it*
Hopefully, the Facebook acquisition doesnít spell disaster for the popular photo-taking, sharing, and editing (filters) application. I for one canít get enough of the sepia-tone and light-leaked filter pictures that show up on my news and Twitter feed.
