  • Best Tweaks of the Week 3/26 - 4/1

Here are the best jailbreak creations for the week of March 26th until today, April 1st as per the opinion of our staff. This is a recap.

    1. Camera Grabber for iOS 5 - FREE

Camera Grabber for iOS 5 is a new free jailbreak tweak by iOS developer Ori Kadosh that brings the iOS 5.1 camera grabber to iOS 5.0 and iOS 5.0.1 users. The tweak looks almost exactly the same, however the images are all custom-made to mimic Appleís. The camera grabber allows you to slide up on the lock screen to open the camera instead of having to double-press the home button and then tap on the camera launcher button. Coming in a future update is the ability to get back to the lock screen and also a drop shadow to give it a more iOS 5.1-like appearance.

    2. LockDate - FREE

LockDate is a new free jailbreak tweak by iOS developer Arash Amini that gives us more freedom for how our lock screen date appears. With it, you can change the font style, font color, drop shadow color, or the date format from several different pre-loaded settings. It also has tap and swipe settings for changing between views. For a free jailbreak tweak that could have easily had a one-dollar price tag added to it, we think itís a nice tweak to have.

    3. Photo Enhancer - FREE

Photo Enhancer is a new free jailbreak tweak by iOS developer greensnow with the intent on bringing more features to the stock iOS Photos application, which already shines with great potential. The tweak adds the ability to move the location of the Camera Roll around between your list of albums in album view by using the drag handle at the right. It also gives you the ability to hide all photographs in an album with a hidden hide and show button that is enabled by tapping on the edit button when in album view. This tweak is a must-have for anyone that organizes a lot of photographs on iOS.

    4. PodControl - FREE

PodControl is a new free jailbreak tweak by iOS developer Florent with the aim of allowing you to control your Music application with three buttons, which appear on your home screen Ė play/pause, backward, and forward. These buttons can be convenient if youíre at your home screen and donít have the patience to open the Music application for controlling your music, however it wonít work with third party music applications like Spotify, Pandora, or Grooveshark.

    5. SwitcherLand - FREE

SwitcherLand is a new free jailbreak tweak created by iOS developer BTPankow to let you use your multitasking App Switcher in landscape mode. The tweak not only gives you this ability, but it also lets you lock your screen orientation in landscape mode so you donít have to turn your iDevice to launch applications in landscape mode. You can unlock the orientation again when finished so you can get back to portrait mode.

Stay tuned for next week's best tweaks - only on Modmyi!

SBRotator does the same thing as SwitcherLand and also can change the orientation of SpringBoard icons.
