Here are the best jailbreak creations for the week of March 5th until today, March 11th as per the opinion of our staff.
1. TouchPosé - FREE
TouchPosé is a free jailbreak tweak by iOS developer iolate, which puts a blue circle anywhere you touch the screen. The circle follows your fingers similarly to the way the white circle in Display Recorder does. It follows your finger when you swipe, tap, or pinch and a blue circle will appear for every finger touching the screen. The tweak is enabled and disabled on demand with an Activator action. It’s not very useful, however it’s a nice touch for making iOS look elegant. You really have to try it to appreciate it.
2. Lyricalizer - $1.29
Lyricalizer is a new jailbreak tweak by iOS developer ac3xx made only for the iPad (for now). It allows you to get lyric functionality on the iPad’s stock Music application again, even after Apple has removed the functionality. Not only that, but it grabs the lyrics for you automatically from the Internet so you don’t have to add the lyrics yourself on the computer through iTunes. Lyricalizer will be coming to the iPhone and iPod touch soon so you can grab lyrics from the Internet. Lyrics come from MetroLyrics, AZLyrics, and Lyrics.com. Unfortunately, it only works for the stock Music application and doesn't work with other popular music applications like Spotify, Grooveshark, or Pandora.
3. Notificator - 99¢
Notificator is a new jailbreak tweak by iOS developer McNight, which will give you notifications for countless system events including toggling things on and off, installing applications, and taking screenshots. The notifications are displayed as iOS 5-style notification banners. Notificator will even change those low battery notifications to banners instead of pop-ups, which was a much-liked feature with some previous tweaks.
4. CallActivator - 99¢
CallActivator is a new jailbreak tweak by iOS developer VincenzoBB, which gives you the capability to use Activator to make quick calls, compose emails, compose text messages, or open Web pages. You can store up to three options for each of the four functions it has and the tweak can use up to four Activator actions. Although you have to manually enter everything, you’ll never have to enter anything again after you’re done. Think of it as a speed dial for some of the iPhone’s best features.
5. NCRotationLock - FREE
NCRotationLock is a new free jailbreak tweak by iOS developer rud0lf77, which puts a rotation lock button in the bottom left-hand corner of Notification Center. It has the same functionality as the rotation lock button in the multitasking App Switcher area, only easier to get to – being a two-step process instead of a three-step process. Rotation lock is always useful when you are tired of the screen orientation switching on you by mistake. NCRotationLock works great with Notification Center-altering tweaks like Flowtation and jailbreak widgets.
