iPad 3 Reportedly to Launch in Germany on March 23rd
As MMi addressed earlier today, current reports peg the iPad 3 debut for March 7th at a soon-to-be announced Apple media event in San Francisco. Although the iPad will debut in North America before it hops across the pond to stir up another sales frenzy in Europe, Apple fans in Germany may not have to wait much longer than their American counterparts to gain access to the third generation tablet.
German-language tech news site iFun.de reported today that sources in the know have alluded to a March 23rd release date for the iPad 3 in Germany. This revelation flies in the face of an earlier report saying that Germans would have to wait until early April to get the iPad 3.
Although the exact date proposed by the German site may ultimately prove incorrect by a few days, no one will be surprised to see the European rollout closely follow the iPad 3's North American debut. Last year after the iPad 2 was unveiled, the device began its march around the globe just two weeks later.
Industry analysts and market watchers say the iPad will arrive next month and feature such new attributes as Siri voice control, a dual-core "A5X" processor, and a 1080p camera with image stabilization among other revamped features.
