Here are the best jailbreak creations for the week of February 6th until today, February 12th as per the opinion of our staff.
1. AirBlue Sharing - $4.99
is a new jailbreak application by iOS developer Eric Day
that lets you transfer files from one device to another over Bluetooth. The features are deeply integrated into iOS allowing you to send all kinds of media files such as: contacts that you've added to your iOS Address Book, music that you want to spread to all of your computers without syncing through iTunes, notes that you've recorded for yourself in your Notes application, photographs and video footage that you want to share between devices from your Photos application, and moreover - voice memos that you've recorded to remind yourself of things. It works with multiple other kinds of popular platforms such as Android, Windows, Mac OS X, Blackberry, Nokia, and more.
2. WeeTrackData for Notification Center - $1.99
WeeTrackData for Notification Center
is a third party Notification Center widget designed by iOS developer Albert Schulz
to help you manage your monthly, weekly, or daily data usage right from an easy-to-reach location. The best part of this widget is that it shows you your data use in real time, unlike the carrier's applications. It includes settings to customizing the maximum amounts of data that you want to use and the scale of your billing period. You can also see your cellular signal strength from the widget. The real-time readings will show you your upload and download usages.
3. Bulletin - .99¢
was a jailbreak tweak released so that you could have a cheaper alternative to getting the Notification Center on your lock screen over IntelliScreenX (which has a ton more features and costs much more). Bulletin was designed by iOS developer Ma Jun
and comes with the option to have manual banner dismissal for all iOS 5 notification banners so that they don't automatically hide themselves after they appear for a couple of seconds without being tapped on. Since Notification Center is a beautiful part of iOS 5, it's a great addition to the dreary and boring lock screen.
4. LockSliderz - $1.49
is a jailbreak tweak that was designed to give you more shortcuts on your lock screen by iOS developer Zmaster
. It has settings that let you adjust the size and applications that each knob has and it also give the the option to have up to two separate sliders to hold all of the knobs. Once slid, the customized knobs will open the applications that you have them set to. LockSliderz works with AndroidLockXT and with any pass code that you might have.
5. NCColors - FREE
is a jailbreak tweak that was designed by iOS developer Pathkiller29
to let you set a hue to your Notification Center in just the right color that suits you. The hue colors are set by RGB (red green blue) sliders that eliminate limited color lists. It also comes bundled with Ryan Petrich
's FastBlurredNotificationCenter tweak which makes Notification Center blurred and transparent so that you can see what is behind it. The blur is optional and configured via the settings.
6. SiriMemes - FREE
is a free Siri extension by iOS developer xxtesaxx
that was built off of the AssistantExtensions
plugin framework. It is an entrainment plugin that allows you to have Siri show you a meme by telling her something that relates to the meme. For example - saying, "problem" or "trollface" will make Siri display the 'trollface' meme. There are quite a few memes that SiriMemes supports, all of which can be read about in the Cydia description. This tweak doesn't have any important functionality, but it's enough to make many people laugh. It is compatible with the Spire Siri port (we have a full list of legitimate servers here
) or you can install it on an iPhone 4S and it will work with that Siri as well.
Stay tuned for next week's best tweaks - only on Modmyi!
