With this tweak, your apps will remain solid.
If you have ever been annoyed by the fact that when you open your App Switcher your applications become transparent in the background, then maybe this tweak is what you've been looking for. It's called No Ghostly Icons and it makes the screenshot above a reality. If you aren't sure what the difference is, then look at the screenshot below which shows the App Switcher before the tweak is installed:
While the tweak promises no real helpful functionality, it lets you have the preference of having your home screen applications out of focus or constantly opaque just like what you're viewing in the App Switcher. To me, I think that having the icons solid in the background does nothing but make things harder on the eyes. The stock iOS look where the icons are transparent makes the focus much easier to view without getting a headache from the clutter.
One thing to note is that just because they are solid doesn't mean that you can tap on them. When you open the App Switcher you will still need to tap the home button or press the home button to exit the App Switcher before you can tap the applications on your home screen. The effect is only visual and it doesn't really make anything different in terms of operation. I'm not too sure what anyone might want to use this tweak for, but if it's something that you will use, then it's free in Cydia today.
If you have any special themes and you like to see them, maybe you'll find that this tweak helps emphasize the beauty of it from every angle of the iOS home screen. No Ghostly Icons doesn't add any icons to your home screen and there are no settings to configure for it. It's one of those tweaks that is effective immediately and can only be disabled by uninstalling it. I don't have any personal uses for it, but one man's trash is another man's treasure. On a side note, it does what it says it is supposed to do.
