Are you getting sick of the iOS 4 water droplets on your iOS 5 device?
Thanks to Mark Gurman over at 9to5Mac we now know that with the upcoming iOS 5.1 update, there will be new wallpapers to choose from. I know that many of you probably use custom wallpapers anyway - but iOS 5.1 will give you more native ones to pick from and not only are they extras, but they're really nice looking extras. You can see a preview of the wallpapers for the iPhone 4 above; there will be download links later on in this article.
iOS 5.1 is currently a developer beta right now and is not available for the general public. Anyone who knows anything about iOS 5.1 should know that it comes with the ability to individually delete photos from your Photo Stream - something that people have been complaining about since its release and additionally, a reason that numerous people continue to avoid using iCloud and instead use alternatives like Microsoft SkyDrive, Dropbox, and Box for their cloud storage. Not only will iOS 5.1 come with the delete feature for Photo Stream photos, and updates for stability (and probably untethered jailbreak patches), but it will come with these new native wallpapers that you can download below:
HD iPad versions:
Retina iPhone 4/iPhone 4S versions:
While wallpapers aren't a big deal for everyone, many people take pride in the look of their iDevices and the wallpapers simply accompany what makes them beautiful. Some people use their family as a wallpaper, some people like cars, some people use holiday wallpapers, but many of us simply enjoy nature. Nature lovers will be able to appreciate these beautiful new wallpapers and I like some of them already, myself.
It's unknown for sure if these wallpapers will be released in the public version of iOS 5.1. Apple has been known to cancel and change things from beta releases to stable releases, but if you want them now, here's your chance to get and use them to your liking.
Are you excited for more wallpapers? Tell us what wallpaper you use in the comments.
