MacMall Continues Retail Expansion This Weekend
On Saturday, MacMall - Apple's authorized reseller - will expand its retail footprint with the grand opening of its third California based store. The new location is 16929 Beach Blvd. in Huntington Beach, CA. To commemorate the occasion, MacMall will serve up a number of deals largely analogous to those offered by Apple last month during Black Friday.
There will be a drawing for the first 300 shoppers tomorrow, which will determine how some $3,500 in prizes (all Apple products, like a MacBook Air, iPod touch players, iPod nanos, Apple TVs, etc.) will be dispersed.
Clearly, MacMall has come a long way since first opening shop in Santa Monica, California way back in 1989, just before Apple began to endure some of the roughest patches of its existence. But now with Mac sales growing exponentially faster than the PC industry, it's a great time to be an authorized reseller of one of Apple's hottest platforms.
Of course, MacMall's business will always be limited by Apple's own high-profile retail growth, but the booming popularity of Macs should bode well for the outfit through 2012, which will see MacMall's retail reach extend deep into the Midwest. According to the Mac-centric retailer, Chicago will house a MacMall store by this time next year.
