The iNuke Boom is a 700-pound speaker for the iPhone.
Is that dinky little speaker in the bottom right of your iPhone just not bringing you enough sound at work? I think we've found the solution for you. The item is called the iNuke Boom, and it's a 700 pound speaker with an iPhone dock on the top that will increase your volume by hundreds of times. The speaker is made by BEHRINGER and as Cult of Mac reports, measures in at 8 feet wide and 4 feet tall, outputs 10,000 watts of sound, and costs $29,999.99. That's about the size of two average twin beds stacked on top of each other; all for your iPhone.
The speaker will work with the iPhone and likely the iPod touch as well as the speaker is connected via 30-pin connector. The iPad would be too large to fit into the dock. The company promises that the BEHRINGER iNuke Boom will be introduced at CES 2012.
It's typical thinking that the average person would find purchasing something like this to be both outrageous and unheard of. In the eyes of some random connoisseur out there you know that someone, somewhere will buy this thing. It won't fit in any car that I know of, but it might make a cool edition to your living room in replacement of your large reclining sofa. The iNuke Boom with that size would pack much clearer sound quality than the mobile speaker in the iPhone. A speaker this large will obviously require a lot of arbitrary wiring and if you're planning on using it in your house, it might not be a great upstairs object due to its weight. Additionally, this kind of noise will probably attract the police if your fellow neighbors hate to be irritated by loud sounds.
