  • Get A 700 Pound Speaker With iPhone Dock

The iNuke Boom is a 700-pound speaker for the iPhone.

Is that dinky little speaker in the bottom right of your iPhone just not bringing you enough sound at work? I think we've found the solution for you. The item is called the iNuke Boom, and it's a 700 pound speaker with an iPhone dock on the top that will increase your volume by hundreds of times. The speaker is made by BEHRINGER and as Cult of Mac reports, measures in at 8 feet wide and 4 feet tall, outputs 10,000 watts of sound, and costs $29,999.99. That's about the size of two average twin beds stacked on top of each other; all for your iPhone.

The speaker will work with the iPhone and likely the iPod touch as well as the speaker is connected via 30-pin connector. The iPad would be too large to fit into the dock. The company promises that the BEHRINGER iNuke Boom will be introduced at CES 2012.

It's typical thinking that the average person would find purchasing something like this to be both outrageous and unheard of. In the eyes of some random connoisseur out there you know that someone, somewhere will buy this thing. It won't fit in any car that I know of, but it might make a cool edition to your living room in replacement of your large reclining sofa. The iNuke Boom with that size would pack much clearer sound quality than the mobile speaker in the iPhone. A speaker this large will obviously require a lot of arbitrary wiring and if you're planning on using it in your house, it might not be a great upstairs object due to its weight. Additionally, this kind of noise will probably attract the police if your fellow neighbors hate to be irritated by loud sounds.

What is your opinion on the iNuke Boom? Share in the comments below!

More like "This 10,000 watt, $30,000 speaker will have the ability to have an iPhone/iPod touch plugged into along with a wide variety of hookups that will allow any audio device play through it."

Quit making it sound like the thing is made just for the iPhone/iPod touch, its not.

It is MADE for the iPhone.

Find a third party accessory? Fine. It doesn't really matter to me.

They should have implemented bluetooth feature on this massive speaker. I am currently using Bluetooth Jawbone Jambox speaker, sound is good ( bass and treble ) loud as hell.

Ever think a venue could use these to sync up music for a show? Quite an improvement over the current 700lb speakers (same) and the 30 50lb cables (replaced with iphone) used to connect them. It's just been spun off as "anything that has an idevice dock has to be in your home". This is obviously for professionals, not consumers.

I'm sorry, but anyone that invests that much money into an audio system designed for mp3 playback is a freaking moron.

$30000 can get me a top notch turntable, cartridge, pre-amp, a better set of speakers than the crap in this thing, AND a decent record collection.

Just had a crazy idea... Apple producing high-end audio equipment... *drools* If they ever got into that game, I think the competition would drive the other manufacturers way down, get other people into the hobby, and introduce all sorts of new innovations to the industry. And it would be the perfect reason for apple to begin offering hi-rez audio through iTunes, which WILL happen within the next 3 years.
