Apple Keynote Gets Updates Today
Apple's Keynote application gets some minor improvements today.
Apple Keynote is Apple's own answer to Microsoft Office PowerPoint. Some prefer Microsoft Office, some prefer Apple iWork. One reality between the two is that they are both great office suites for the Mac. If you want more features, you might opt for Microsoft Office for Mac, while if you want fluid functionality and Mac OS X Lion-like gestures, you would go with Apple iWork. Microsoft has promised Mac OS X Lion features in a future update of Microsoft Office for Mac.
For those of you who have picked to use Apple iWork, opening the software update application on your Mac will yield an update for Apple iWork's Keynote. Keynote is similar to Microsoft Office PowerPoint because it lets you use templates and editing tools to create nice and professional presentations.
The update is an upgrade from Keynote version 5.1 dubbed Keynote 5.1.1. It doesn't come with anything major; just some improvements to stability and performance. It doesn't seem to change much but it is recommended to all Apple Keynote users. Apparently, there have been issues reported with Keynote not working so friendly with Mac OS X Lion and that was what they addressed. It has, on the other hand, been working fine with Mac OS X Snow Leopard and below.
