Russia, Brazil Reportedly Getting iPhone 4S on December 16
The pace at which Apple is continuing its international roll-out of the iPhone 4S is staggering.
Although the company hasn't formally confirmed the launch dates for the new iPhone in Russia and Brazil, local carriers in those nations indicate that December 16th will mark the device's formal debut.
The launches are expected to be somewhat consequential for Apple given the massive populations of Brazil and Russia. Inventory of the product, as you can imagine, is poised to be extremely limited on tight supply. To date , neither Apple or its carrier partners in Russia and Brazil have given any clues as to how the device will be priced.
In the U.S., the iPhone 4S has already seen the best-selling start of any new iPhone release, and the same is true in many countries where the smartphone has just become available. Current plans peg Apple at having the iPhone 4s available in approximately 70 countries before the end of 2011.
