You may have read yesterday about Cody Overcash, one of ModMyi.com's founders. Well, lets learn about the other!
Logan - Tell us a little about yourself. Your age, location, education, and what you want to be when you grow up?
Kyle - My name is Kyle Matthews. I'm just a few short weeks from 30, and have lived in Tampa the past 5 or 6 years, although I still think of Seattle as home. I went to college a few years before I got bored with it and decided the internet was it for me. When I grow up I'd like to keep learning new things and seeing new sights, helping folks along the way.
Logan - How'd you first get involved with the ModMyi.com community? How long have you been apart of MMi?
Kyle - I got involved when Cody Overcash and I decided we wanted to be able to write off our purchases of Apple's nifty new phone. This whole site was created to justify two geeks' purchase of $600 phones.
Logan - What devices do you own? Is their one can't wait to get!
Kyle - When it comes to iDevices, I have one of each. Well, I sold my original iPhone a while back and am looking for a new one to frame now.
Logan - What Cydia/Apple tweaks/applications can you not live without?
Kyle - MyWi, InfiniFolders, CyDelete, 1Password, Camera+, Facebook, Twitter, and of course the best app, ModMyi.app.
Logan - What do you think of the new iOS5 and iPhone 4S?
Kyle - Love the 4S's camera and speed increases, really hate the battery life. Hoping Apple's next big innovation is not a device, but a battery. iOS5 is great and continues to pull thoughts from it's competitors and the jailbreak world, and they've of course integrated it smoothly into a solid package. Siri is great, but I think I'm still faster than she is so I haven't been using her much.
Logan - If you could be any super hero who would it be and why?
Kyle - Well, growing up I always thought Gambit was the coolest XMan. Dunno quite why - I guess 52 weapons in a box of cards seems nifty.
Logan - Anything else you'd like for us to know?
Kyle - I'm married to a hottie (note from Logan: he is not lying see the picture
) named Robyn, and have had 3 sons, although we lost two in 2010 (see thematthewsstory.com). Charley, our 20 month old, is our cool little guy continuing to meet the world these days. Robyn and I have a non-profit called Because of Ezra which raises awareness and funds for research into beating neuroblastoma, a children's cancer. I'm an avid guitar player and singer/songwriter who toured a bit but never made it big when I was younger. The last time I went out to Denver to hang with Cody he got me hooked on fast cars, and Robyn is absolutely ticked off thrilled with that new focus.
