  • iPhone 4S Shipment Confirmations Surface - Be Fully Prepared To Pimp Your iPhone 4S

    One of our MMi readers tipped us off (Thanks Steve!) about receiving a new confirmation for the shipment of their iPhone 4S. Some international users have already started to receive their iPhone 4S orders early. As confirmations such as this one continue to surface, some of you might be seeing your iPhone 4S a day early or so as this happened last year at the time of the release of the iPhone 4 as well.

    When it comes to the software releases, everything seems to be rolled out and now its just a matter of time before users get their iPhone 4S' and can use everything all together. For those of you who are anxiously awaiting for your 4S to arrive and for those of you who will be keeping your current iOS devices, we'd recommend getting all the information in and software downloaded and ready to go:

    Kudos to Apple for not only having the largest iPhone sale numbers in the history of the iPhone but also rolling out all these updates and services ALL while having Steve Jobs on their website's homepage.

      They did, but that was for people receiving there orders early in Germany. In this post US residents are receiving there's early too.

      Here with a nub question: I've been trying to read and understand what baseband is and when it's needed to preserve it (and what that actually does for you). So far I get that it's to do with the providers (AT&T/Verizon & soon Sprint), that (I think) it's only needed if your using an iPhone on a different carrier than AT&T/Verizon or soon Sprint (therefore you'd have a jailbroken and unlocked iPhone), and that preserving your baseband 's only purpose is to allow a previous unlock to continue to work. Please feel free to shed some light or point me in the direction of a detailed post/article. Thanks

      Actually, the article I linked to was about people (US included) receiving their shipping confirmations. In it, the author referenced a previous article that discussed the early German orders.

      Mine shipped yesterday (ordered from AT&T website) Tracking number shows in FedEx as not valid though. I can't wait.

      it shipped the 10th for ATT, FedEx still shows nothing for the tracking number though. Hope I get mine early!

      I'm having the same tracking number issue. Shipped 11th, no tracking number. I wonder if Apple is influencing that. *cue conspiracies*

      More on topic, I'm glad you guys aren't gonna be eft high and dry (most of you). I'll be stuck camping out cause I was too po' at the time to pre-order.

      Ordered 2 just minutes apart about 4 hours after the presale was scheduled to begin. It shows one has shipped but the other is showing "backordered" and "pending shipment". I hope they both arrive Friday!

      I was among the first 5 people in the AT&T store at 8am on tge 7th. Mine says shipping pending and backordered, I hope I get it on Friday.

      Hate to burst everyones bubbles....I called FedEx, They said the dates shown by ATT are when the lables were printed. FedEx says they will be shipped overnight friday from ATT at least.
