  • FaceBook for iPad *RELEASED*

FaceBook now reports that they have implemented an iPad version of FaceBook into the App Store.

While FaceBook appears to have a page, here, stating that they have released an iPad version of their popular social networking app for iOS, the link, "Get The App" only takes me to an iPhone version of the app. FaceBook may be very close to releasing an iPad-resolution version of our favorite social networking site. It's important to note that FaceBook has posted this page on FaceBook; although, the app is not out yet. The fact that FaceBook's official page says that it's out seems to hint that it might be on it's way out perhaps even today. Keep your eyes peeled.

Recently, the only way to get FaceBook on your iPad was to use a jailbreak hack that enabled the hidden iPad code in the iPad app. FaceBook quickly picked up on what jailbreakers were doing and released a patch which killed the usefulness of this tweak (FaceForward). FaceBook was expected to bring the iPad version of FaceBook out at Apple's, "Let's Talk iPhone" event the day just before Steve Jobs' death. FaceBook never appeared on stage. Could this be their follow-up?

EDIT: FaceBook for iPad appears to have been officially released. It is universal for all devices. As always, it is free. It comes with FULL iPad-resolution support. The wait is finally over.

Then i decided to do a manual restart (the home button+power button) and now my iPod is in recovery mode. wth?
My Ipad 2 did the same thing. Put it in recovery mode then HARD boot it again and leave it on the apple logo ( mine took 20 minutes) then it spontaneously restarted and all is well now Good Luck ( Dont connect it to itunes)

Damn.. My i4 kept saying Loading after upgrading the iphone app. So I deleted it, and went to reinstall. App store froze. So I did a manual restart as well (Home & Power button)...

It has now been doing the apple logo for about 15-20 min. Every now and then it will go black and then pop back up..

I was in panic mode and actually started to do a full restore and my iPad switched from recovery to the apple logo so I let it sit for about 20 and it rebooted itself IDK. What actually happened

It is siting on the apple logo because you are using a tethered boot jailbreak

Use Redsn0w/TinyUmbrella to just boot normally tethered mode

Yes I've been hearing TONS of reports of major problems with the latest FB app update for iPhone. Not sure if the problems are only on the iP4 or all iPhone models or what. A buddy said his phone sat for an hour before finally coming back up. Now they're advising people to just delete the app and reinstall it, instead of trying to update it in place. Stupid. NEVER in the 2 years I've had my 3GS has the FB app EVER worked correctly. Always problems, nonstop. If it ain't one thing it's another. Never gets fixed.

I was using the cracked version a while back and it had problems with reading replies and now they fixed it but the size is still too small. They could at least have the right side half the screen so you could actually read what was going on instead of this tiny pane like it is.MyPad is still better by far.
