I'll start with an introduction to what Synergy is, for those that have never heard of this handy piece of software. Synergy is a program that allows you to share a mouse and keyboard between multiple computers, operating systems and now, with the help of Matthias Ringwald, the iPad, without the need for KVM switches or special hardware. The idea is to use this feature across multiple devices with displays, eliminating the need to connect a bunch of peripherals.
Matthias is also the developer of BTStack, which brought us the ability to connect our bluetooth keyboards to our iDevices. Earlier today Matthias posted his beta work in progress on synergy-plus - Project Hosting on Google Code for those who are eager to try it out. There are still some issues he is fleshing out, but you can read through the issues posted here: Issue 513 - synergy-plus - Client version for iPhone and iPad - Project Hosting on Google Code
Matthias says on the project's website:
it's considered beta quality and not released yet. For those who want to try the beta: please install MouseSupport package using Cydia. Then, download http://ringwald.ch/ch.ringwald.syner...honeos-arm.deb to your device and install using: dpkg -i /ch.ringwald.synergyclient_0.8-9_iphoneos-arm.deb Now, please reboot to get the application on the SpringBoard.
On a side note, Matthias has also mentioned "All BTstack apps fixed for iOS 4. BTstack Keyboard, Mouse, and GPS updates are live in Cydia"
