  • Steve Jobs Has Died

The world has lost a visionary today.

Apple has just released that Steve Jobs has passed away, at the age of 56. Jobs had been dealing with liver issues, and had a liver transplant in April of 2009. His health continued to deteriorate, and he died today.

Apple is what it is today due to Steve's vision and passion for innovation.

There is much to write of his incredible career, life, and the changes he made in today's technology. However, you probably know his story well by now, so we'll simply say we, too, will miss Steve Jobs. Our prayers go out to his family and friends.

RIP Steve. Meant more to his company than any other major company in the world. He single handedly co-founded them, raised them, brought them back from the death then made them the most valuable company in the world. The sun will not rise in Cupertino tomorrow. R.I.P.

"No one wants to die, even people who want to go to heaven don't want to die to get there. And yet death is the destination we all share. No one has ever escaped it. And that is as it should be, because Death is very likely the single best invention of Life. It is Life's change agent. It clears out the old to make way for the new. Right now the new is you, but someday not too long from now, you will gradually become the old and be cleared away. Sorry to be so dramatic, but it is quite true."

Even with the jailbreak community and Steve Jobs constantly butting heads, I had a huge amount of respect for the guy. The world has lost a visionary and an incredible mind and personality. He truly changed the world and made incredible advances in pretty much everything to do with technology. R.I.P. Steve Jobs. My condolences to family and friends.
