Infinity Blade is currently one of the most graphically impressive games available for the iPhone. But all this will change on December 1, when Epic Games releases Infinity Blade 2. The game is being optimized for the iPhone 4S and should rival the graphics capabilities of most console games.
Epic claims that Infinity Blade 2 will offer realistic and immersive worlds that will feel more like a movie than a video game. All of the rendering for the game will be done in real time on the iPhone 4S using Dynamic light rays to create what’s being called “god rays.” The graphics are so impressive that they are said to be “eye melting.”
By using the power of Apple’s A5 processor, “we can bring all sorts of detail to the environment, like fireflies, leaves in the wind, koi in the pond,” to Infinity Blade 2.
New gameplay features will include the ability to customize your own weapons. This is sure to be good news for long time Infinity Blade players.
Apple has also just announced that AirPlay will now be available for all Apple apps, meaning that you’ll be able to play Infinity Blade 2 on your HDTV using an Apple TV.
Infinity Blade 2 will be released on December 1, just in time for Christmas.
