  • Evidence of 64GB iPhone 5, iPhone 5 Case Spottings, and New iPhone Speculations

Picture proof of a 64GB iPhone 5 has surfaced recently and tweeted by iH8sn0w, the developer behind numerous iOS device utilities such as f0recast, iDetector, iFaith, iREB, and sn0wbreeze. The picture shows an iPhone 5 label very similar to a previously leaked Chinese iPhone 4S label. The information that it provides is new though, providing proof of the existence of 64 GB capacities for the upcoming iteration of the iPhone said to be announced at Apple’s October 4th event.

This isn’t the first time images of a 64GB capacity iPhone have been released either though. Back in March, Chinese publication M.I.C Gadget showed several pictures of a 64GB iPhone prototype. Since then, it has been much anticipated that the next generation iPhone would have the third capacity available alongside its 16GB and 32GB options. Furthermore, speculation and sources who wish to remain anonymous are confirming the existence of the iPhone 4S, codenamed N94 rumored to be existing in the AT&T inventory with 8GB offerings. With all the information combined, it seems that Apple will be able to reach a wider array of customers by providing a lower-end model to those who wish to own an iPhone but can’t afford the hefty recurring costs it takes to maintain one and also provide a model to Apple fanatics who wish they had more storage, upping the previous 32GB maximum capacity to 64GB.

Many people seem to also be getting confused between all the speculation that is revolving around the net, between information about a low-end iPhone and a new more powerful iPhone. What these leaked images and information provides the public is confirmation of the existence of an iPhone 4S and iPhone 5, which range from 8GB, 16GB, 32GB, and 64GB capacities in both existing iOS device colors, white and black.

Further confirmation of the iPhone 5 is arising in AT&T retail shelves as iPhone 5 cases are being found in AT&T stores throughout the United States. Many claim that they have also seen a number of iPhone 5 cases at various cell phone vendors – which may or may not be true but the fact that iPhone 5 cases are being found in official carrier retail shelves makes it seem all the more believable.

Last but not least, it was uncertain whether or not the new iPhones would support 4G technology. It was recently confirmed at a presentation at this week’s Macworld Asia, where a China Unicom executive reportedly confirmed the iPhone 5 will support HSPA+ “4G” technology.

As usual around the release of any major Apple product, the buzz continues alongside with flying rumors and speculation. The technology sector is definitely about to be impacted by the game changing release of multiple iPhones in just a matter of days. The “Let’s Talk iPhone” October 4th Apple event definitely can’t come soon enough.

      Firstly, 64GB iPhone 5 = Sold

Ever since the announcement of the "assistant" feature, I felt it was basically confirmed Apple planned on releasing 2 phones on the 4th of October. Think about it, the articles concerning the "assistant" feature state that only the iPhone 5 can power the feature, but why on earth would Apple allow 2 phones to be sold with one "missing" features. This is exactly what would happen if they sold the original iPhone 4 next to the iPhone 5. Apple doesn't really like to do things like that so they put the iPhone 5 guts inside an iPhone 4"S" & bam, you have your low end phone that can do everything your high phone can do, just at an 8 GB capacity. At the same time you streamline your chip ordering because you're now only ordering one chip instead of several different lines. I'd be really shocked at this point if there wasn't an iPhone 4S & an iPhone 5 announced on the 4th of October.

I thought the 32GB phone wasn't enough but I have yet to pass 20GB on it. I guess I rely too much on streaming media with unlimited data.

      touché, touché indeed.

But honestly, while that was a solid feature, I don't see Wi-Fi Facetime as a game changer the way Assistant could be (my opinion of course) and just think that with Apple already testing iPhone 5 "internals" in iPhone 4 cases, it just screams of getting a 2 for one test. They hide their new design while at the same time testing an "S" version.

Again, nothing but speculation & opinion here.

Yeah I don't think AT&T execs would gamble on buying cases for a phone that doesn't exist. This is really exciting! Tuesday cannot come fast enough to know for sure!

I feel like 64g is just soo much. I have 16gig and i haven't gone past 10g. I'm sure there are those who will go beyond 32g but rarely will anyone need that much. I have unlimited data too so maybe that's why i don't store so much. But having the iphone 5 on HSDP+ makes a lot of sense. It will take a lot of strain off of the 3g network for other, non smartphone users and use the signal that few ATT smart phone users use today. It'll take that strain off dumb phone users and put it on other ATT androids who use HSDP+. But i doubt i'll use it, i live in a rural area.

I just hope there will be pre-orders. I haven't stood in line for an Apple launch since the original iPhone in 2007.

I am pretty sure Apple will be doing pre-orders on their devices. The possibility of not having pre-orders sounds to be the best way to torture the masses though...
