  • Add Page Dots to App Switcher with SwitcherPages

As we all know, the App Switcher houses all our open and "multitasking" applications. Introduced on the release of iOS 4, the App Switcher has been a primary method of switching between different running applications. Over the past few months however, ModMyi has document a few simple yet useful tweaks that make the App Switcher even better by adding features like kill all background applications and that sort of thing. On top of the ones highlighted recently, the App Switcher has always been a place of interest to change because there are a lot of features that the App Switcher lacks. Another simple tweak along these lines, SwitcherPages, brings page dots to the App Switcher.

When installed, simply open the App Switcher from your device to see the page dots in action. Depending on which page you are on in the App Switcher determines which dot you are on (obviously). Other than that, there's nothing else in regards to functionality or usability. After giving SwitcherPages a show, it was daunting to see how many pages my App Switcher I had - this could be a sign that I need to better manage my open applications!

If you find this tweak of interest to you, go download it on Cydia: it's free and is compatible on all devices and firmwares (tested on the iOS 5 beta and it does not work).
