  • iOS 5 Support for MyWi 5.0, My3G, and TruPrint Released by Intelliborn

    Just a few hours ago, Intelliborn, creators of some of the most highly-acclaimed applications available on Cydia, announced that they released iOS 5 support for their following products:

    • MyWi 5.0
    • My3G
    • TruPrint


    As iOS 5 is on the verge of public release, it was a wise move on Intelliborn's part to release iOS 5 support early on to ensure that when it is publicly released, their products will perform well and smoothly. To use the following products on iOS 5, simply upgrade your current version in Cydia or buy now. For those of you who have previously bought MyWi, TruPrint, and (or) My3G, you are eligible for a free upgrade to the newer version.



    Due to the nature of the iOS 5 beta, Intelliborn would appreciate as much feedback and bug finding reports as possible. To start off, take a look at the Intelliborn FAQS page to ensure that your question can be answered there.       Is it OK to install this if you're still on iOS 4? Assuming so...What about MyWi OnDemand? Or is that bundled in MyWi 5.0?

      Yes it should be. It is just adding support for iOS 5 - it won't hurt the integrity of the application on iOS 4. And no, MyWi OnDemand is entirely separate and does not have iOS 5 support at this time.

      What's the point of updating to MyWi 5.0 if it still doesn't hide tethering usage like PdaNet does??

      Yea, I don't see the point in using mywi if AT&T can see it and will switch your plan to the tethering plan.

      Yes - we tested thoroughly on iOS 4 and iOS 5 to make sure they play nice regardless of iOS. There were bug fixes for iOS 4 as well.

      No AT&T didn't cancel the data plan due to MyWi.

      Warning: Although I have heard much successes from people updating, my experience was not so pleasant. I had HUGE memory leaks of 290-300mbs, and when intelli products upgraded were disabled in mobile substrate the bug went away. I have heard a few others with similar complaints, and I have notified intelliborn of the issue. If you are not on iOS 5, I would recommend holding off on the update for now.

      UPDATE: the crashing was due to a conflict with status tweak. Disable intellistatusbar in mobile substrate an your good to go, thanks to intelliborn for the quick response.

      What use is MyWi since TetherMe enables native tethering? Plus, I haven't heard of anyone getting a tethering message from AT&T using TetherMe.

      Um. I just lost my unlimited due to using mywi, because like others say here, it does NOT hide the tethering from AT&T. Try PdaNet, they claim to hide usage from your carrier. Mywi needs an update, Duh!
