  • First Apple Store in Hong Kong to Open This Month

It what amounts to another critical indication of Apple's growing emphasis on and investment in the Asian market, everyone's favorite Cupertino, California-based tech giant has its sights set on Hong Kong. Later this month, Apple's first official Apple retail store will open in Hong Kong, one of Asia's wealthiest economies.

The store in question is set to open its doors September 24th. The store is located inside of Hong Kong's famous International Finance Center mall. Given the media attention and hype surrounding the store's grand opening, general chaos and pandemonium are expected when the Apple cash train officially rolls into Hong Kong.

According to a report this weekend from The Hong Kong Standard, "Apple is said to have also secured two other locations in Hong Kong - at Canton Road in Tsim Sha Tsui and at Hysan Place in Causeway Bay." With Asia apparently poised to become a major sales hub for Apple across the full iOS product line, Hong Kong will likely prove an integral retail target in this endeavor.

Apple's retail empire is poised to reach new heights just by the end of September. In addition to Hong Kong, new stores have either just opened or are about to open everywhere from Canada to Italy.
