A wicked cool (but not yet released) creation for jailbroken iPhones is getting a lot of buzz ahead of its much-anticipated release -- and not without good reason.
The app in question -- which is iOS 5 ready, by the way -- is IntelliID. As you might imagine, it provides Caller ID for your iPhone. But what we're dealing with here is an immensely sophisticated app even capable of looking up wireless callers.
According to Intelliborn, makers of IntelliID, the app fetches the caller's name from a US/Canada calling database and displays on the incoming call screen, as well as missed calls on the lock screen and on the recent call list.
Among the announced features:
- Rapidly fetches incoming caller name
- Add to contacts automatically enters First and Last Name in Contacts entry
- Integrates into Missed Call information in Recent Phone list and on lockscreen for iOS 4.x and iOS 5.x!
- Full 30 day history helps you keep track of your lookup usage
IntelliID also makes it simple to add contact numbers after they've called by filling in their first and last name when you add an IntelliID'd new contact.
A free trial (10 Free Lookups) is being made available to new users. IntelliID supports iOS 4.x and, as mentioned, iOS 5.x.
