  • Apple Asking Developers to Submit OS X Lion Apps for the Mac App Store

Rumors surrounding Lions release and new Macbook Airs have reached a fever pitch in the last few days. Adding to the histeria, Apple sent out a call to all developers asking them to submit their OS X Lion apps for the Mac App Store.

Thursday is the rumored launch date, and one would assume the email (posted below) sent out today is timed a little late to meet a Thursday launch, unless Apple can review the Apps at lightning quick speeds. Apple seeded a GM build of Lion to developers last week, which should have allowed them to put the finishing touches on their updated Lion apps.

Either way it appears Apple is fully on their way to making the promised July release of Lion. Remember Lion will only be available via the Mac App Store, but as we wrote about earlier this year, users will be able to make a Lion boot disks of their own.
