  • iTunes 10 Now Available For Download : Jailbreak Safe

Apple has released iTunes 10 as promised, and is now available for download to the public for Mac and Windows.

iTunes 10 includes Ping, a brand new "social music discovery tool" creates a new experience for iTunes where users can follow their friends and share their favorite music.

It appears that iTunes 10 is Jailbreak safe for now, that is to say that a new Jailbreak tool might not work with iTunes 10, but seeing as there are none out right now that require iTunes, your JailbreakMe.com exploit should be just fine. Musclenerd also informed us that we should be safe as far as DFU Mode, syncing, and custom IPSW's go, just stay away from iOS 4.1 next week.

If you experience anything out of the norm, let us know.

    Download iTunes 10 Now.

Note : Wi-Fi Sync No Longer Works with iTunes 10

Something tells me iOS 4.1 will require iTunes 10 so we'll all have to work with it sooner or later.

Yep. It's safe for now, be careful tho 10.0.1 or whatever may not be safe for jailbreakers

I upgraded to iOS 4.1 GM officially (with an Apple Dev account) on iTunes 9.
Not sure about the public version though.

      It may not be safe!

I just installed iTunes 10 on my iMac running the latest version of Leopard.

EVERY time I plug in my iPhone 3GS (JAILBROKEN) and choose "Apps" at the top menu it crashes!

If we don't update to itunes 10, are we just missing out on Ping? Is there anything other reason to upgrade?

Same result with my i4. I don't think it's a matter of it being JB safe, rather just an unfortunate side effect of jailbreaking.

Am I the only one who cant download it. If i try to check for updates it tells me that mine is the current version and if I try to do it on apple the download button never shows up.

If your just upgrading to iTunes 10 with Apple Software Update then your iTunes library (including playlists, ratings etc..) will remain untouched

I really like iTunes 10 but i'm sorry, I had to change the icon back to the old one. What were they thinking?
