Practice makes perfect is a common saying for a menagerie of examples. When it comes to typing, whether on your computer or iDevice, the only way to get better is to practice often. Figuring out the touch pad at first can be a little difficult however after toying with your device for a while, you can be a proficient user. You may look at someone you know (your friends, family, or some random person) and think to yourself "Wow they're amazingly fast at texting, tweeting, etc." Or you may think you've gotten good enough to be a pro typer. However, have you ever imagined someone typing the entire alphabet on an iDevice (iPad) in less then 10 seconds?
Mikheil Saakashvili, son of the president of Georgia (Eastern Europe country), recently set a new record for the fastest typer on the iPad. He was able to type the entire alphabet with one hand in 5.26 seconds. This was a a 1.05 seconds improvement over the previous record holder, British teen Charlie Joseph McDonnell. McDonnell has held his title since 2010 (6.31 seconds was previous record). The Guinness Book of World Records awarded Saakashvili a plaque to signify the legitimacy of the record. A feat of this nature is absolutely insane; share your thoughts!
