  • Attachment Saver - Save Mail.app Attachments

Ever been frustrated by the iPhone Mail app's inability to view attachments of certain types? Ever been found yourself needing to save an attachment to disk somewhere so you could use it outside Mail.app? AttachmentSaver to the rescue.

AttachmenSaver is a nifty little extension to the iPhone's Mail app that allows you to save attachments so you can access and view them using your favorite file manager (iFile recommended). It unlocks the ability to download *all* attachments of any type, whether supported by Mail or not, and save them into a folder on disk. For those emails with multiple attachments, it even conveniently provides the option to save all attachments in that particular email, accessible via the action menu in the toolbar (the one that usually contains the Reply/Forward buttons).

It's in the Cydia store now at $1.99, a decent buy. Pick it up!

I thought you could save them without this app.

But, this is a tool I will recommend.

I don't remember. I think it was tap and hold the image, but that was probably Safari.

I am using an iPhone 3G with 4.0.1

I just bought this app, and paid an extra 2$ for iFile on top.

It is not working, it crashes the mail app after you try to save an attachment.

Not what it says on the tin. Any ideas how to fix?

      I just downloaded this.

Running iOS 4.0.1 on an iPhone 4.

It works perfectly. I think the developer may have just recently updated the app.

I updated Attachment Saver to 1.4.0 on iPhone 3gs with 3.1.3. Which states that brings back support to iOS 3.0+ (1.3 version was only for iOS 4.0+).

On Cydia's page states that this new version requires iOS4.0+ to work but when checking the change log states that it is supposed to have support to 3.0+, but after installing it immediatly crashes the Mail.app when downloading any attachment.

Please help! How can I return to 1.2? So it can work or is there a new version in the works? Anyone knows?

OK...is this real? I've been using Attachment Saver since day 1.....on a 2G that now has 3.1.2 and it aint goin with the 4.x since Apple decided to ignore it.
I paid for this and I expect it to work....wich it did until this crapy version came out.
SO either make it work on a 3.x device, or make a separate package that works only on 3.x, and leave this one for the 4.x ppl!

      I need this......make it work.....fast!!!
